Our Approach

Grounded in Theory U

Our program is thoughtfully designed using Theory U, a leadership and change framework developed by MIT Senior Lecturer Otto Scharmer, to support both individual and organizational transformation. This approach enables people, teams, and systems to move beyond habitual ways of thinking and acting, toward deeper awareness, intentional action, and sustainable change.

Through this approach, participants are guided to:

  • Cultivate empathetic and reflective leadership

  • Strengthen authentic dialogue and interpersonal collaboration

  • Recognize and let go of outdated mindsets and behaviors

  • Co-create innovative responses to complex challenges

Rather than focusing on quick fixes, Theory U enables a deeper learning journey—one that moves from observing current realities to sensing emerging possibilities, and ultimately translating insight into sustainable action and systemic transformation.

At the heart of Theory U—and central to DiverseCircle’s approach—are three inner capacities that open the path to transformation:

  • An open mind to challenge assumptions and see reality with fresh eyes

  • An open heart to build empathy, connection, and genuine understanding

  • An open will to let go of the old and courageously step into the new

Together, these capacities allow participants to fully experience a shift from ego-system awareness—focused on individual success and self-interest—to eco-system awareness, where decisions and actions consider the well-being of the whole.

How We Do It

Integrated in DEI Principles

Our application of Theory U is intentionally paired with Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) principles to ensure change is both meaningful and inclusive. DEI is not treated as a standalone initiative, but as a core lens through which leadership, collaboration, and decision-making are explored.

By embedding DEI throughout the program, we support participants:

  • Develop greater self-awareness and cultural humility

  • Understand how power, privilege, and bias shape workplace dynamics

  • Create environments where diverse voices are heard, valued, and encouraged

  • Build equitable systems that support belonging and psychological safety

This integrated approach ensures that personal growth, team effectiveness, and organizational transformation occur together—leading to cultures that are not only high-performing, but also inclusive, conscious, and future-ready.
